Anima Flux Launches on Xbox Today – A Dystopian Co-Op Metroidvania with Retro Sci-Fi Flair

Posted on May 13, 2025May 2, 2026 By Ronny Fiksdahl
Enter the Ark: A Deadly Co-Op Mission Begins

After making its debut on PC last year, Anima Flux officially arrives on Xbox today, May 14, 2025. Developed by AvantajPrim and published by JollyCo, this striking sci-fi co-op Metroidvania is ready to challenge players with mutant hordes, eerie dystopian themes, and a gritty story set in the far future.

Set aboard a massive space ark — humanity’s last stronghold — players take control of two genetically engineered agents of a theocratic regime. Their mission: reclaim the city overrun by mutants and uncover the grim truth behind it all. Whether you choose to go solo or team up in couch co-op, survival won’t come easy.

Check the Artwork

The screenshots speak for themselves — Anima Flux blends harsh industrial sci-fi with detailed 2D art inspired by retro-futurism. The attention to visual storytelling is one of its most distinct strengths. If you’re into bleak atmospheres and stylish destruction, this one deserves a spot in your library.

What’s Next?

With versions for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch still in development, there’s more to come. I’ll be speaking with the developers behind Anima Flux very soon, so stay tuned — we might get a clearer picture of what’s ahead for the franchise, future content, and additional features.

As Anima Flux makes its way onto Xbox, it brings a fresh co-op twist to a genre known for solitude, wrapped in striking hand-drawn visuals and loaded with dystopian flavor. With new platforms on the horizon — and an interview coming soon right here on Fix Gaming Channel — this mutant-infested space ark may just have more secrets left to share.
