March 2024 Game Releases Worth Revisiting

March 2024 brought a varied mix of releases, with tactical World War II strategy, survival horror, indie action, and psychological storytelling all arriving within the same month.

This older Fix Gaming Channel article has been cleaned up from its original preview format and refreshed as an archive look at several March 2024 games worth revisiting, including Classified: France ’44, Alone in the Dark, Parry Nightmare, and REVEIL.

Classified: France ’44

Released on March 5, 2024, Classified: France ’44 brought turn-based tactics to occupied France during the final months before D-Day.

Developed by Absolutely Games and published by Team17, the game puts players in command of Allied commandos and French resistance fighters carrying out missions against German forces.

With tactical combat, replayable missions, and a mission creator, Classified: France ’44 stood out as one of March 2024’s stronger picks for strategy fans.

Release: March 5, 2024
Developer: Absolutely Games
Publisher: Team17
Platforms: PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S

Alone in the Dark – A Horror Classic Reborn

Alone in the Dark returned on March 20, 2024, as a modern reimagining of the classic survival horror series.

Developed by Pieces Interactive and published by THQ Nordic, the game takes players back to Derceto Manor with a Southern Gothic atmosphere, psychological tension, and two playable protagonists: Emily Hartwood and Edward Carnby.

With performances from Jodie Comer and David Harbour, this version of Alone in the Dark aimed to bring one of horror gaming’s earliest names back for a modern audience.

Release: March 20, 2024
Developer: Pieces Interactive
Publisher: THQ Nordic
Platforms: PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S

Indie Spotlight: Parry Nightmare

Parry Nightmare offered something smaller, faster, and more focused. Released on March 21, 2024, the game is built around timing, defense, and chaining parries under pressure.

Developed by KAKUKAKU GAMES and published by Phoenixx Inc., it turns defense into the main weapon, asking players to survive by reading attacks, parrying threats, and managing the chaos around them.

Release: March 21, 2024
Developer: KAKUKAKU GAMES
Publisher: Phoenixx Inc.
Platform: PC via Steam

Indie Spotlight: REVEIL

REVEIL added another horror-leaning entry to March 2024, this time with a focus on first-person psychological storytelling, puzzles, and unsettling memories.

Developed by Pixelsplit and published by Daedalic Entertainment, the game follows Walter Thompson as he searches for his missing wife and daughter while facing the strange connection between his past and the Nelson Bros Circus.

Release: March 6, 2024
Developer: Pixelsplit
Publisher: Daedalic Entertainment
Platforms: PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S

A Strong Month Across Genres

Looking back, March 2024 was a strong month because it did not rely on one type of game. Strategy players had Classified: France ’44, horror fans had Alone in the Dark and REVEIL, while indie players looking for fast reactions had Parry Nightmare.

Not every release needs to be a blockbuster to be worth remembering. Sometimes a good month is built from variety, and March 2024 had plenty of that.
