The Exit Project Backstreets Now Available on Nintendo Switch Ps4 and Ps5

Posted on January 27, 2025July 3, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

A new psychological horror experience has arrived on consoles. The Exit Project: Backstreets, a first-person thriller developed by PixieBear Games, launched on January 23, 2025, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The game blends surreal tension with memory-driven mechanics, offering a deeply immersive horror journey through a seemingly endless urban loop.

Trapped in a Loop of Shadows and Sound

The Exit Project: Backstreets throws players into a disorienting world—a street that repeats over and over, where the only way out is through careful observation and memory. Players must identify what’s changed between loops. A missing sign, an unnatural sound, or an object that wasn’t there before—all serve as vital clues. Making ten consecutive correct identifications is the only way to escape this haunted circuit.

Every Detail Matters

This mechanic isn’t just clever—it’s tense. The game constantly keeps players on edge, with an atmosphere full of dread and sudden, chilling surprises. It’s not just about what you see, but what you remember seeing. The psychological pressure grows as players question their senses and judgment with every round.

Built for Console Comfort

The console version supports full controller functionality and customizable graphic settings. Whether you’re sitting back with a controller on PS5 or experiencing horror on the go with a Nintendo Switch, The Exit Project: Backstreets scales to your preferred playstyle.

Play sessions can be as brief as 20 minutes or stretch to an hour, depending on how quickly you can decode the shifting backstreets. It’s ideal for both short horror bursts and longer playthroughs.

Awaiting the Steam Release

While console players can now immerse themselves in this eerie loop, PC players will have to wait a bit longer. A Steam release is confirmed and on the horizon, expanding access to the psychological nightmare.
