If you’ve somehow missed it until now: you play as monster slayer Geralt of Rivia while tracking down Ciri, with a long chain of major story quests, monster contracts, and choice-driven outcomes along the way. The Xbox listing describes the base game as a “huge, over 100-hour” adventure, with the two expansions adding “an extra 50 hours of gameplay.”
10 years on, the numbers are still ridiculous
CD PROJEKT has said The Witcher 3 has sold over 60 million copies as of the game’s 10th anniversary period in 2025, alongside a wider anniversary push that included The Witcher in Concert tour. If you want the official background, their anniversary coverage hub for the game is here: thewitcher.com
