Retro-futuristic noir adventure invites players to help shape its branching narrative and design before release

MEDIA ALERT — September 8, 2025 — Indie developer Tetrarchy Studios is inviting playtesters for Mandated Fate, a story-driven, retro-sci-fi adventure set in an alternate 1985 under a technocratic empire. Join the Mandated Fate playtest and immerse yourself in the role of an Imperial Police inspector investigating a murder in a resistant district, with your choices steering alliances, loyalties, and outcomes across multiple narrative paths.

  • World and level design feedback (interiors, exploration routes, pacing).
  • Systems checks (subway navigation, interior traversal, interaction density).
  • Atmosphere and readability (lighting, mood, retro-futuristic presentation).

Core features

  • Complex dialogues and early, meaningful decisions that ripple through the story.
  • Open-world districts with detailed building interiors and a working subway network.
  • Neo-noir, cyberpunk-leaning aesthetic with moody lighting and retro-futuristic styling.
  • AI placeholder voices during development; plan to replace with actors.
