ASTROBOTANICA game key art showing alien protagonist exploring prehistoric Earth

ASTROBOTANICA Heads to Steam Next Fest After Surpassing 50,000 Wishlists

Posted on August 15, 2025May 2, 2026 By Robelle Veligano

Prepare for the Steam Next Fest Demo

Warsaw, Poland, August 14, 2025 Space Goblin Studio says that ASTROBOTANICA, their next science-based survival game, has more than 50,000 wishlists on Steam. Steam Next Fest will give players their first chance to play the game in public from October 13 to October 20, 2025. This is the first public demo of the game since the closed Alpha in June, which was only open to the first 1,500 people who backed it on Kickstarter.

Kickstarter Success and Community Feedback

After raising £46,836 on Kickstarter, ASTROBOTANICA expanded its development scope, driven by valuable feedback from the survival gaming community.
Over the summer, Space Goblin Studio refined the game’s mechanics ahead of the upcoming demo. The title will also be
fully compatible with Steam Deck, giving players the option to enjoy their adventure-survival journey on the go.

A Unique Science-Driven Survival Experience

Unlike many traditional survival titles, ASTROBOTANICA puts a strong emphasis on scientific discovery in addition to resource management.
Players take on the role of Xel, an extraterrestrial protagonist navigating Prehistoric Earth, where exploration, experimentation, puzzle-solving, and
collaboration with Primal Humans are essential to survival.
