Black Ops 6 Multiplayer Beta Dates Announced: Everything You Need to Know

Posted on July 16, 2024August 4, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Attention all Call of Duty fans! The highly anticipated multiplayer open beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has officially been scheduled, and we’ve got everything you need to plan ahead.

Multiplayer Beta Schedule

The beta will roll out in waves, allowing players across different platforms to get hands-on time with the upcoming title. While specific dates for each platform are expected soon, Activision has confirmed the general beta window and that early access will be granted to players who pre-order the game.

  • Early Access: Available first to PlayStation and Xbox players who pre-ordered
  • Open Beta: Available to all players across all platforms later in the window
  • Platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC

What to Expect in the Beta

The multiplayer beta will give players access to a variety of game modes, maps, and new systems being introduced in Black Ops 6. Based on teasers, it looks like Treyarch is going back to some of the roots of tactical gameplay while modernizing movement and progression.

You’ll be able to test out new weapons, perk systems, operator abilities, and possibly get a first taste of the rumored “Omnimovement” system that allows for full freedom of traversal during combat.

Pre-Order Details & Participation

Pre-orders are already live via Call of Duty’s official website and major retailers. Pre-ordering not only grants early access to the beta, but also comes with exclusive in-game content and rewards.

To participate in the beta, players will need to redeem a beta code (if provided), or simply log in with the account tied to the digital pre-order. Full details on eligibility and instructions can be found on the Black Ops 6 Beta Info Page.

More Updates Coming Soon

As the release approaches, expect more announcements covering the campaign, multiplayer mechanics, zombie mode, and exclusive behind-the-scenes developer insights. Activision plans to reveal deeper gameplay details in their next official Call of Duty blog post.
