What you can do if you spot it
- Double-check the publisher/developer name on the eShop listing (impostor listings often hide behind unfamiliar publisher names).
- Report the listing to Nintendo using the eShop’s reporting/support options.
- If you already purchased it, consider contacting Nintendo Support to ask about refund options in your region.
- Follow Panik Arcade’s official accounts for updates on any takedown progress or official platform announcements.
Why this matters
Fake listings don’t just hit players’ wallets — they also damage developers by confusing audiences, hijacking search results, and muddying a game’s reputation. If you’re unsure whether a listing is real, the safest move is to verify it through the developer’s official channels before buying.
Tip for readers: when a game is popular (or starts trending), impostor listings often pop up fast. A quick check of the official developer account or official store pages can save you a lot of hassle.
