I skipped school for Hogan vs. Warrior. I cried. No shame in it.
I was Hulk Hogan. At school. After school. Hell, probably in school too. If someone handed me a ruler, I’d cut a promo. If someone talked back? Instant leg drop (mentally).
Then came WrestleMania VI. I skipped school. (don’t tell mom) Sat close to the TV. Full hype. Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior. Champion vs. Champion. This was everything.

The classic entrance—shirt ripped, crowd roaring, Hulkamania at full blast.
And then… Hogan lost. Just like that. One, two, three.
I cried. No joke. I was done. I was traumatized. It felt like the rules of the universe changed. I mean, Hogan doesn’t lose… right?
That was my first real heartbreak. I didn’t even know that was a thing yet. But there it was—me, on my knees, in front of the TV. Broken.
Games That Let Me Be Hogan Again

Retro glory—Hogan celebrating a win in Super WrestleMania on SNES.
- WWF WrestleMania (1989, NES)
- WWF WrestleFest (1991, Arcade)
- WWF Super WrestleMania (1992, SNES)
- Legends of Wrestling (2001–04)
- WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw (2006+)
- WWE 2K14 – 2K25
- Hulk Hogan’s Main Event (2011, Kinect) – Yeah… we don’t talk about this one.
- Saints Row: The Third – Bonus: Hogan voiced Angel DeLaMuerte. That was cool.

The 8-bit birth of Hulkamania—pure nostalgia.
I know the man had his flaws. But to a kid in the ‘80s, Hulk Hogan was everything. And when he lost, it felt like we all lost something too.
RIP. Thanks for the memories, brother.
