CarGo! PS5 Review – Wacky Co-Op Delivery Chaos on the Carchipelago

Posted on July 24, 2025May 2, 2026 By Daniel Sarach

Chaotic driving, outrageous deliveries, and a party game vibe that thrives in couch co-op

After a few wild sessions with CarGo! on PlayStation 5, it’s clear this game fully embraces its identity as a frantic, over-the-top delivery sim. It doesn’t pretend to be anything else—and that’s exactly where it finds its fun.

Set across the colorful, hazard-packed world of the Carchipelago, players take on the role of courier drivers racing to deliver packages while dodging traffic, construction zones, jump bridges, and even the occasional police chase. The goal is simple: deliver as fast as possible, no matter the chaos.

For another take on fun, precision-based driving, check out our Q&A with Pixel Wrappers about Classic Sport Driving.

Floaty Driving Meets Cartoon Mayhem

The driving physics are loose and unpredictable by design, creating a constant tug-of-war between skill and absurdity. No two deliveries go the same way, and every turn can end in either a smooth shortcut or a pileup of flying boxes and overturned vans. The visual style adds to the experience—bright, bold, and full of cartoony personality, it keeps the tone light and energetic even when you’re crashing into everything.

Local Co-Op Delivers the Real Fun

The standout feature of CarGo! is easily its local couch co-op mode. Up to four players can jump in on one screen, and that’s where the game hits top gear. What begins as teamwork quickly devolves into hilarious shouting matches, last-second saves, and accidental sabotage. It’s got the same energy as Overcooked or Moving Out, but swaps kitchen chaos for delivery vans and bouncy roads.

Short but Sweet

That said, CarGo! is on the shorter side. With around sixteen levels, you’ll see most of what it offers fairly quickly. The star-based progression system encourages replays, but the floaty driving—which is funny at first—can become frustrating in the later, more demanding levels. Solo play is available, but it doesn’t capture the same chaotic energy that makes multiplayer so enjoyable.

Final Verdict

CarGo! on PS5 is a fast-paced, family-friendly co-op game that’s perfect for game night. It doesn’t overstay its welcome, delivers big laughs in a short burst, and knows exactly what kind of game it wants to be. While it may not have the depth or polish of bigger party games, its charm, accessibility, and outright silliness make it a solid pick for players looking to crash, race, and shout their way through an evening of delivery chaos.

CarGo! – Quick Summary

  • Platform: PlayStation 5
  • Release Date: July 24, 2025
  • Modes: 1–4 player local co-op
  • Genre: Arcade Delivery, Party Game
  • Best for: Game nights, family sessions, Overcooked fans
