Posted on April 24, 2024May 2, 2026 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Hello, fellow gamers!

I’m excited to bring you the latest on SERUM, a first-person survival adventure game developed by Game Island and published by Toplitz Productions. Having tested the early demo, participated in the current playtest, and closely followed both teams, I’ve become a genuine fan of what they’re creating.

Head over to Steam to join the Playtest

Developer Game Island and publisher Toplitz Productions are pleased to announce that the playtest for their exciting first-person survival adventure game, SERUM, is now live on Steam for PC.

Why This Playtest Matters

The playtest, which will run for a week, offers gamers a unique opportunity to provide Game Island with valuable feedback on the game. This phase is crucial as it helps the developers optimize the gaming experience in preparation for the upcoming launch on Steam early access.

Personal Impressions

Having tested the early demo and participated in the current playtest, I have followed the development team at Game Island and their publisher Toplitz Productions closely. I am a fan of their commitment to engaging and innovative gameplay. The game runs smoothly even on super ultrawide monitors, and you can check out some of my gameplay:

About Game Island S.A.

Game Island S.A. was established in July 2020 as a subsidiary of The Dust S.A., specializing in the production of games for Steam and console platforms. SERUM is the first major title in Game Island’s portfolio, currently under development and set to be published globally by Toplitz Productions.

What to Expect in the Playtest

During the playtest, players will explore two of the game’s biomes and will have the opportunity to test the new Serum Brewing UI. This hands-on phase not only offers a preview of key mechanics but also opens the door for community involvement. And the feedback collected during this period will be instrumental in refining the game, ensuring a polished player experience upon its release.

With that in mind, here’s how you can get involved and make your mark on SERUM’s development journey.

How to Join

Players interested in joining the SERUM playtest can apply for access through the game’s official Steam page. After accessing the playtest, players are invited to leave their constructive feedback via the game’s dedicated Toplitz production.

A Time-Driven Challenge

SERUM promises a thrilling narrative that drives players under the pressure of time, putting them to the ultimate test as they seek out ways of surviving and uncovering a deadly conspiracy.

A Note to Enthusiasts

Remember, this is a playtest, not a full launch. It’s designed for gamers and enthusiasts like us to discover areas that need optimization or fixes. Your involvement and feedback are essential to refining SERUM into the game it aspires to be.
