Holiday-window target: Rockstar moves Grand Theft Auto VI to November 19, 2026

Rockstar has shifted Grand Theft Auto VI to Thursday, November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, citing extra time for polish. GTA VI delayed once again, now to November 19, 2026, the new date lands six months after the previously announced late-May window. Rockstar’s site reflects the change, and the studio echoed the update in a brief statement on X.

At a glance

  • New launch: November 19, 2026 (Thursday)

The delay realigns GTA VI with the holiday window, a period that often amplifies launch momentum, marketing support, and bundles—though it extends the wait for long-watching fans. For broader context on development scope and business models, see our related coverage below.
