Mist Survival: How long in Early Access, is it still EA, and when will 1.0 launch?

Mist Survival: How long in Early Access, is it still EA, and when will 1.0 launch?

Mist Survival Early Access has been an Early Access survival sandbox on Steam since August 15, 2018. As of October 2, 2025, it’s still in Early Access. The developer’s EA FAQ mentions an expectation to “be done by 2025,” but there’s no official 1.0 date announced.

At a glance

  • EA start: August 15, 2018
  • Time in EA so far: ~7 years (≈2,605 days)
  • Current status: Early Access
  • 1.0 timing: No date; FAQ target says “expect everything to be done by 2025” (a target, not a formal release date)

Mist Survival

Release: August 15, 2018 (Early Access)

Genre: Survival, Open-World, Base Building

Developer / Publisher: Dimension 32 Entertainment

Platforms: PC — Steam

Status check

The Steam page clearly lists Mist Survival as an Early Access Game and shows the original 2018 EA release date. In the EA FAQ, the developer writes: “I expect everything to be done by 2025.” That line is guidance—not a locked date—so the only accurate answer right now is that 1.0 hasn’t been announced.

Recent updates

Development continues during EA. Recent public notes include a 0.6.2.3 patch (bug fixes and UI/quest marker corrections) posted in late September 2025, following earlier 2025 updates. That supports the current status: active development, still EA, 1.0 TBA.

Bottom line

If you’re curious now, treat it as a live, evolving sandbox—fun for tinkering with bases and surviving the “mist event,” but not a finished 1.0. If and when the developer posts a formal launch date, we’ll update this page.
