Trove welcomes 2026 with RenewUs ’26 (Jan 1–14)

Trove starts 2026 with RenewUs ’26 — daily challenges, new collectibles, and rare tradable rewards

MMORPG sandbox Trove is welcoming the new year with RenewUs ’26, a limited-time event running from January 1 until January 14, 2026. The event introduces new daily challenges, new unique items, and collectible event rewards tied to a short questline about the return of the RenewUs Butterflies.

For more updates like this, keep an eye on our Industry News and News sections.

What you do during RenewUs ’26

During the event, players help Qubesly by collecting materials he needs to craft unique items supporting his efforts to restore the RenewUs Butterfly population. The theme is straightforward: small daily goals, a bit of crafting, and a collectible chase that doubles as a New Year “resolution motivation” loop.

Qubesly’s requests include crafting event items like a carefully made confetti ball, along with banners designed to help guarantee the collection of RenewUs Butterflies for ongoing research. Once you’ve completed his tasks, you’ll receive the Sigil of RenewUs, which unlocks a chance to obtain rare, tradable items.

Garx returns with new challenges

After the Sigil reward step, the event questline sends Trovians to reunite with Garx, a familiar face from last year’s RenewUs event. He closes out RenewUs ’26 with three new challenges and a unique “exercise” to complete before the event ends.

A quick Trove refresher

If you’re coming back for the event (or checking it out for the first time), Trove is an open-world multiplayer voxel sandbox MMO built around fast questing, dungeon runs, and a huge amount of crafting and building. You’re constantly hopping between realms, clearing objectives, and picking up loot — with the freedom to shape your own space through systems like the Cornerstone (your mobile base) and club worlds.
