Essential Setup
The PC setup required the PS VR2 headset, compatible controllers, the PC adapter and cables, plus the Steam application used to configure the hardware.
System Requirements Matter
VR performance depends heavily on the graphics card, processor, DisplayPort connection, and Bluetooth support used for the Sense controllers.
A Larger PC VR Library
The biggest attraction was access to Steam’s PC VR catalog with Sony’s headset. It opened another route for PS VR2 owners who also had a capable gaming PC.
Final Thoughts
In August 2024, the Steam app and PC adapter expanded what PS VR2 hardware could be used for beyond PlayStation 5. For existing owners with suitable PCs, that made the headset considerably more flexible.
