Key art for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide “Nightmares & Visions” free update featuring Psyker visions and chaos-infused enemies.

Warhammer 40000 Darktide Unveils Thrilling Nightmares Visions Free Update Coming March 25

Posted on March 7, 2025June 24, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Fatshark has announced a major content update for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, titled “Nightmares & Visions”, launching March 25, 2025. This free update promises a mix of new gameplay mechanics, a limited-time event, and meaningful balance changes across all platforms: PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.

What’s New in “Nightmares & Visions”?

A Psyker’s Mind-Warped Arena

Players will enter visions conjured by the Mourningstar’s Psyker. Each run introduces randomized buffs and modifiers, pushing players to adapt and discover new builds as they progress. Completing these dreamlike encounters unlocks cryptic lore and shines a light on characters previously shrouded in mystery.

Enhanced Havoc Mode with Mutators

Havoc Mode returns fiercer than ever. With four new mutators, players will face unpredictable challenges and increased intensity. This high-end content is designed to test both individual skill and team synergy.

Special Event: Mortis Trials

Running alongside the update is a limited-time event that spotlights Mortis Trials. These challenging encounters offer exclusive rewards, encouraging players to log in and experience the latest horrors lurking aboard the Mourningstar.

Ogryn Talent Tree Revamp and Game Balance

The lovable tank of Tertium, the Ogryn, is getting serious attention in this patch. A fully overhauled talent tree introduces new builds and greater versatility. Whether you’re a veteran bruiser or trying Ogryn for the first time, expect to see deeper customization options.

Additionally, expect across-the-board balance changes and quality-of-life improvements, fine-tuning the game’s combat flow and responsiveness.
