Coin Push RPG – Idle Grind with No Surprises

Posted on July 17, 2025January 10, 2026 By Ronny Fiksdahl

A game that plays itself while you sleep — and honestly, that might be the most accurate review you’ll read.

Reviewed on PC.Score: 3.5/10

Coin Push RPG is one of those games that sounds fun on paper: a mix of coin-pusher arcade nostalgia and idle RPG mechanics. Developed by RAmen and published by Wise Games, it hit Steam in May 2025 and quickly gathered mostly positive reviews. But let’s cut through the coins and get real — this game might be relaxing, but it’s also one of the most passive experiences I’ve ever had.

Ching Ching, Click Click… Zzz Zzz

At first? Sure, it’s satisfying. Watching coins pile up, triggering jackpots, gearing up heroes — all that is fun for about an hour or two. But then the repetition hits. Hard.

I clocked eight hours. Not because I was hooked… but because I literally fell asleep with the game running. And the game? It just kept going. No pause, no stop — just auto-farming in the background. I genuinely believe you could go on vacation, come back a week later, and still be watching jackpots roll in. That’s not engaging design. That’s a glorified screensaver with loot.

“There’s supposed to be depth here — talents, equipment, formation strategy — but most of it feels like design landfill: bloated systems dumped in for the illusion of complexity.”

It’s been done before. And it’s been done better. No surprises, no creative shakeups, and certainly nothing that justifies a $10 price tag. If this were a free mobile game with optional monetization, I’d get it. But as a paid title? It feels like a prototype that forgot to evolve.

This isn’t a roguelite. It’s a roguelite-themed nap machine.

“Yes. Even more coins. Still not fun.”

Final Thoughts

Coin Push RPG might work for you if you’re looking for a passive, low-effort background game to click between emails or shows. But if you’re expecting a game that demands (or even rewards) your attention, this ain’t it.

Nice idea, soft execution. Play it if you’re curious. Skip it if you’re awake.

Stay Awake With Better Games

If you’re after games that actually keep you engaged — not asleep — check out some of the titles we’ve recently featured that do things differently:

  • Skull X: Aibohphobia – A twisted little first-person horror indie with actual brains behind the madness.
  • PEAK – A hilarious co-op mess where physics, friendship, and falling off a mountain all collide.
