Bolt Blaster Games is gearing up for the Early Access launch of The Spell Brigade. From June 10–17, players can dive into the first public demo during Steam Next Fest—complete team-based objectives, unlock upgrades, and create overpowered spell synergies in a friendly-fire bullet hell.
Assemble Your Brigade and Prepare for Chaos
The Spell Brigade invites 1–4 players to team up in fast-paced, magical survival. With friendly fire always on, you’ll balance raw spell power with careful positioning so you don’t blast your own squad while waves of creatures close in.
“We’re excited to reveal the Early Access release date! We can’t wait for you to experience what we’ve been working on. This is just the start, and we invite you to join us on this journey. Your feedback is important to us,” says Hans Jacobs, founder of Bolt Blaster Games.
Key Features of The Spell Brigade
Survivors-like Multiplayer Mayhem
Fight off thousands of weird monsters together, complete missions, and power up your squad as a team. Survival is a coordinated effort.
Team-Based Combat with Friendly Fire
Coordinate spell timing and positioning—or pay the price. Even “oops” moments can be fixed with a little sorcery and a lot of teamwork.
Dynamic Spell System
Find, upgrade, and combine spells with elemental effects to build wildly different loadouts every run. With multiple wizards in play, chaos scales fast.

About Bolt Blaster Games
Bolt Blaster Games is a six-person indie studio from Belgium, founded in 2020. In 2023, they launched GAZZLERS, a cartoony VR roguelite shooter where players fend off hordes of Gazzlers using a build‑it‑yourself weapon system. Post‑launch, the team doubled down on community feedback and iteration—an approach they’re carrying into The Spell Brigade as they grow, one game at a time.
