Tom Clancy’s The Division 2: Crossroads

Release Date: May 27, 2025

Platform: PC, PlayStation, Xbox

Developer: Ubisoft Massive

Source: Ubisoft News – Crossroads Update

Battle for Brooklyn DLC

The centerpiece of the Crossroads update is the Battle for Brooklyn DLC. Set in a post-pandemic New York during the fall, agents are deployed to Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo to confront the emerging threat of the Purple Flame faction. This DLC introduces new enemies, unlockable skills—including the return of Smart Cover—and the exclusive Catalyst Exotic Mask. The DLC is available from May 27, following scheduled maintenance.

Global Modifier: Hard-Core

This season’s global modifier, Hard-Core, introduces build-focused bonuses that scale based on Gear Cores and are further enhanced by defeating enemies marked with Hostile Countermeasures. Players accumulate three Attribute Scores: Firearms, Stamina, and Electronics, each providing specific bonuses that increase with higher tiers.

Active & Passive Modifiers

Five Active Modifiers allow players to consume their current score bonus for powerful temporary boosts, designed to enhance team coordination but also offering benefits for solo players. Passive Modifiers are tied to your Attribute Tiers, activating or deactivating based on your current score.

Manhunt Scouts

In Crossroads, Manhunt Scouts are released weekly. Unlike previous seasons, there’s no need to complete them in a fixed order. Only the two High-Value Targets are required to unlock the Climax Mission. The rest can be completed or skipped as players see fit.

Seasonal Journey

The Seasonal Journey now offers greater flexibility:

  • Missions 4, 5, and 6 unlock simultaneously after Mission 3.
  • Each mission focuses on Firearms, Stamina, or Electronics, with objectives and passives.
  • Passive Modifiers unlock via specific objectives rather than entire missions.
  • Active Modifiers require at least six objectives in Missions 3-6.
  • Mission 7 unlocks with at least four Passive Modifiers from Missions 4-6.

Gear, Weapons & Talents

Crossroads introduces new gear, weapons, and talents, including:

  • Pakhan Exotic RPK-74: Each kill grants a stack of 75% Magazine Size to the next magazine, up to four stacks.
  • Nimble Holster: Repairs for every meter run in cover-to-cover; damage taken during cover-to-cover is healed over 10 seconds.
  • Measured Assembly Gear Set: Enhances skill builds with bonuses and unique talents.
  • Imminence Armaments Brand Set: Offers increased Weapon Damage, Threat, and Pistol Damage.
  • Lud and Purist Named Weapons: Feature the Perfect Streamline talent, increasing Weapon Damage when no skills are deployed or on cooldown.

Master Climax Mission

Completing the Master Climax Mission guarantees the Tinkerer Exotic Mask as a reward. This mask applies the secondary weapon’s talent to the primary weapon if both are of the same type and neither is Exotic or Named. Higher difficulties increase drop chances.

Player Onboarding Improvements

  • Milestone Builds: Receive curated gear and weapon caches at levels 8, 15, 25, and 35, with explanations on build mechanics.
  • Level 40 Boost: Instantly level a character to 40 with a full gear set. Available for purchase or free for Battle for Brooklyn DLC owners. The Division 2: Pakhan Exotic Weapon showcase

Quality of Life Changes

  • Seasonal Journey objectives progress during co-op play.
  • Season XP rewards for all Living World Activities, Main Missions, and Game Modes increased by 85%.
  • Scavenging Points now shared across all characters (excluding Hardcore) with tripled resource rewards.

Season Pass & One-Time Offer

  • Season Pass: Available from Level 1 for 1000 Premium Credits ($9.99), with Premium+ option for $29.99 including extra rewards.
  • One-Time Offer: For $19.99, get 2000 Premium Credits plus 600 bonus Credits and the exclusive Bedlam Mask.
