Indie Area Awards Recognize Three Games
According to the published award results, One More Plate! received the Indie Area’s Best Gameplay award, Finding Polka won Hidden Gem, and Cinderia took Best in Show. The separate WINGS Award went to Schrodinger’s Call. These give players several smaller games to look up beyond the event’s major publisher showcases.
The broader Thailand Game Awards also recognized Meccha Chameleon, which won both Best Indie Game and Best Multiplayer Game.
PRAGMATA Takes Game of the Year
CAPCOM’s PRAGMATA won Thailand Game Awards 2026 Game of the Year and Best Action Game. Wuthering Waves received Best Ongoing Game and Popular Vote, while Grand Theft Auto VI won Most Anticipated Game.
The awards draw on votes from players and Thai games media.
Record International Participation
The closing update counted 335 exhibitors and pavilions, up from 294 in 2025. A record 29 exhibiting countries were represented, with 64% of exhibitors coming from outside Thailand. That follows the international lineup announced ahead of the event.
The show included 20 national pavilions and delegations, with participants from Germany, Spain and the United States through to Japan, South Korea and Indonesia.
More Business Visitors—and Publishers Doing the Pitching
The organizers reported 6,923 business visitors, a 24% increase on 2025, with 51% coming from outside Thailand. The Invest Circle and VIP XPerience connected 509 developers, publishers and investors, compared with 418 the previous year.
The business program also reversed the usual pitch format. In the Reverse Pitch, PlaySide, Focus Entertainment, Fireshine Games and Team17 told developers what they wanted to fund next. Rather than developers doing all the presenting, publishers took the stage to explain what they were looking for.
