House Flipper 2 Ignites Playful Chaos With Floor is Lava Mode

Posted on April 2, 2024November 17, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Flipping Homes Meets Platforming Adventure

“House Flipper 2” traditionally focuses on renovating and flipping homes for profit, blending elements of design, management, and simulation. However, with the introduction of the ‘Floor Is Lava’ mode, the game leaps into a new genre, combining the strategic elements of home design with the adrenaline-pumping excitement of a platformer. This update allows players to rearrange furniture and décor to create intricate obstacle courses, transforming serene homes into thrilling race tracks.

Design, Dash, and Share

What sets this mode apart is the freedom it offers. Players can now design their personal ‘Floor Is Lava’ courses, racing against time to secure the top spot on leaderboards or sharing their creations for others to enjoy. The mode not only challenges players to rethink the functionality and layout of in-game items but also encourages community engagement through the House Flipper 2 Content Hub.

Beyond PC to Consoles

With a Metacritic score of 79 and over 400,000 copies sold, “House Flipper 2” has already made its mark on the PC gaming community. This expansion into a whimsical yet challenging new mode is timely, coinciding with the game’s upcoming launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Starting April 10, console players can dive into the world of house flipping and lava leaping, broadening the game’s appeal and accessibility.

A Homage to Imagination

This update is a testament to Frozen District’s commitment to player satisfaction and innovation. Incorporating a universally beloved childhood game into their simulation underscores the importance of play, creativity, and community in gaming. “House Flipper 2’s” ‘Floor Is Lava’ mode is not just a mode; it’s a celebration of the joyous, unpredictable, and sometimes chaotic nature of play that lies at the heart of every game.
