Developed by INDIE FORGE STUDIOS S.R.L., Storm Horse Simulator puts players in the role of Storm, a wild horse whose herd has been scattered by humans. The story follows Storm’s journey to reunite the herd, protect vulnerable companions, and restore balance in a world where not every human is presented as an enemy.

The demo introduces players to exploration, herd protection, and early gameplay systems across parts of the open world.

A peaceful horse adventure with light survival elements
Storm Horse Simulator is being pitched as a relaxing adventure game with simulator and light survival elements. Players explore an open world made up of forests, mountains, deserts, plains, and rivers, with a day-and-night cycle and dynamic weather helping shape the atmosphere of the journey.
The main focus is not only movement and exploration, but also herd care. The game is described around looking after the condition of the animals, searching for food and water, avoiding threats, and deciding how Storm and the herd develop over time.
That gives the game a slightly different angle from many survival titles. Instead of leaning only into danger, hunger, and pressure, Storm Horse Simulator appears to be aiming for something calmer: a story about freedom, protection, connection, and the bond between wild animals and the world around them.

What is included in the demo?
The free Steam demo includes six story missions designed to introduce the world, the main characters, and the core mechanics. After completing the main demo missions, players can also try optional challenges.

Storm Horse Simulator includes story missions that introduce players to its world, characters, and core mechanics.
In practical terms, that means players can get a first taste of exploring part of the open world, caring for and protecting the herd, and responding to threats. The full version is planned to expand the number of missions, add more mechanics, and introduce new gameplay elements beyond what is included in the demo.
A story about rescuing the herd
At the centre of the story is Storm, the son of the legendary Amadeus. After humans break up the herd, Storm’s journey becomes one of rescue, rebuilding, and survival. The setup is simple enough for a broad audience, but the developers are also highlighting herd behaviour and animal care as important parts of the experience.
For players who enjoy slower-paced simulation games, animal-focused adventures, and nature-driven exploration, this could be one to keep an eye on. The demo should give players a better sense of whether its mix of cozy adventure, herd management, and light survival elements comes together.
