Playtests, Co-Op Refinements, and a June Launch
According to JollyCo’s official announcement, the team used feedback from April playtests to help shape the final release build. Recent work has focused on gameplay balancing, performance improvements, and co-op refinements.
Sugar Madness throws players into a twisted candy kingdom changed by a failed energy experiment. Players take control of an advanced robotic prototype and fight through corrupted zones filled with hostile machines, chaotic encounters, and Candymorph enemies.
The game is built around fast arcade-style VR shooting, with action mechanics, mini-games, and unpredictable combat moments designed to keep each session moving. It can be played solo, but JollyCo is also pushing co-op as part of the experience, where teamwork and timing become more important as the action ramps up.
A Smaller VR Release With a Clear Hook
On the Meta Store, Sugar Madness is listed under Shooter, Arcade, and Action, with wishlisting currently available ahead of launch.
The bright candy-world presentation gives Sugar Madness a playful look, but the pitch is built around movement, precision, fast reactions, and co-op pressure. For Meta Quest players looking for a quick, colourful VR shooter that does not take itself too seriously, this could be one to keep an eye on before June 4.
