From the creators of Green Hell, Creepy Jar ventures into sci-fi territory with a brutal new survival test on Arcadia-7

July 14, 2025 – Warsaw, Poland — Acclaimed Polish developer Creepy Jar, best known for its hit survival title Green Hell, is stepping into uncharted territory with its upcoming sci-fi game, StarRupture. The studio has officially announced the game’s first closed playtest, running from July 29 to July 31, offering players a chance to experience the harsh world of Arcadia-7 for the first time.

A New Survival Frontier Awaits

This single-player playtest offers more than three hours of early gameplay, including an introductory tutorial and a free-play segment with limited map access and progression. While StarRupture will ultimately focus on 4-player cooperative gameplay, this test focuses entirely on the solo experience, allowing players to get a feel for exploration, base building, and combat in isolation.

You’ll have to build up your factory, maintain defenses, and face everything from hostile wildlife to environmental destruction—topped off by the planet’s most terrifying force: its own unstable sun, Ruptura.

The playtest includes English voice acting and UI localization, with additional languages planned for the Early Access launch. Full language support details and a FAQ are available on StarRupture’s Steam News page.
