Posted on March 28, 2024July 30, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

A New Look at Base Building in Space

Creepy Jar, the acclaimed developer behind the survival hit “Green Hell,” has just released an exciting update on their upcoming game, “StarRupture.” Through a newly released DevLog, the studio offers fans a glimpse into the intricate base-building mechanics set in the sprawling expanses of space.

A Catastrophic Cycle on an Alien World

In their latest communication, Creepy Jar highlighted the second installment in their series of DevLogs for “StarRupture,” a game that promises a unique blend of base building, exploration, combat, and resource management on an alien world. This world is intriguingly described as being torn apart by a catastrophic cycle of destruction from its life-giving star. The game is currently being developed using Unreal Engine 5, showcasing Creepy Jar’s commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance gameplay and visuals.

Inside the DevLog: Adam Magdziak Guides the Way

Adam Magdziak, Creepy Jar’s Product Marketing Manager, guides viewers through the DevLog, detailing the conceptualization and implementation of the base-building feature. This mechanic is carefully designed to integrate with the game’s machinery and logic, offering players a challenging yet rewarding experience as they navigate the hostile environment of an alien planet.

Anticipating Early Access

“StarRupture” is eagerly progressing toward its Early Access launch on PC, with Creepy Jar planning to release more devlogs in the future. These updates will provide exclusive insights into the game’s development process, covering everything from production milestones to the exploration of game mechanics, enemies, and the rich lore of its universe.

A Legacy of Transparency

Creepy Jar’s approach to community engagement and transparency, as seen with “Green Hell,” continues with “StarRupture.” The studio is excited to share these updates, encouraging fans to watch the latest DevLog and to stay tuned for more news on this eagerly anticipated title.
