Deathless Tales of Old Rus Unveils Exciting Update With New Hero and Enhanced Gameplay

Posted on July 26, 2024September 3, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Why This Update Matters

The first major update for Deathless: Tales of Old Rus lands with a headline hero, fresh difficulty options, and a set of rewarding Steam Achievements. Already enjoying a “Very Positive” reception on Steam, the Early Access build takes a big step toward full release later this year.

New Hero — Vasilisa the Wise

Journey back into Belosvet with Vasilisa the Wise, a formidable elemental sorceress. She can command Nursemaids to shield and assist or strike solo with devastating arcana. Her toolkit opens new deck synergies and tactical lines, inviting experimentation in both short runs and deep meta progression.

Enhanced Gameplay with New Difficulty Modes

Whether you’re returning or starting fresh, the new difficulty settings provide the right challenge curve for every player. Tuning enemy pressure, economy pacing, and encounter intensity helps you learn the rhythm before pushing into high‑risk, high‑reward runs.

20 New Steam Achievements

Chase 20 new Achievements that celebrate clever play, build mastery, and daring victories—boosting replayability and giving seasoned Slayers new goals. More Achievements are planned in future updates, so completionists will have plenty to tackle.

Roadmap: More Heroes, Enemies, and Cards

The team signals a busy road to 1.0: additional heroes, enemy types, and card sets—plus a few surprises—are in the works. Expect meta systems to expand alongside encounter variety to keep runs evolving.
