Two heroes enter dark dungeon in Dungeon Stalkers scene

Dungeon Stalkers Alpha Test Announced Ahead of Early Access Launch

Posted on May 16, 2024June 16, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

After capturing attention during February’s Steam Next Fest, Dungeon Stalkers is back in the spotlight. HYBE IM and Action Square have just revealed a surprise Alpha Test, kicking off this May ahead of the game’s full Early Access release. And the best part? It’s open to everyone.

This unexpected test run will give players a fresh look at the game’s unique blend of dungeon crawling, PvEvP combat, and escape mechanics—plus a few major new features. Whether you’ve had your eye on this game or just missed the demo earlier this year, now’s a great time to jump in.

Alpha Test Details

  • Start: Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024 at 6:00 PM PT
  • End: Sunday, May 26th 2024 at 7:00 AM PT
  • Platform: Steam

What’s New in This Alpha Test?

  • PvP Mode: Face off against fellow players in fast-paced arena battles.
  • Summoner Class Introduced: Play as Rene, a powerful new Stalker who commands summoned allies.
  • Equipment Crafting & Custom Stats: Build and refine gear to match your combat style.
  • Marketplace Bidding System: Compete for loot and items in an auction-style shop.
  • New Armor Options: Suit up your Stalker with all-new gear designs and defensive choices.

About the Game

Dungeon Stalkers is a third-person PvEvP dungeon crawler. Players take on the role of “Stalkers,” venturing into cursed dungeons to uncover treasure, survive encounters, and outwit both AI and real players.

As you delve deeper, you’ll contend with ever-changing dungeon environments, cursed areas ruled by the Witch, and dynamic world modifiers like weather, climate, and time of day. Whether you’re cooperating, competing, or just trying to stay alive long enough to escape with your loot, every run tells a different story.

Key Features at a Glance

  • Dungeon-Based PvEvP Gameplay: Navigate traps, AI foes, and human opponents.
  • The Witch’s Curse: Random, powerful debuffs that change the flow of each run.
  • Armor Destruction System: Tactical damage mechanics where armor can be broken mid-battle.
  • Dynamic Events: Environmental changes and merchant behavior influence each session.
  • Unique Playable Stalkers: Each with their own narrative, skills, and loadout possibilities.
