Moonfrost
Moonfrost, a Unity-powered game developed by Oxalis Games and published by Oxalis Games and iterco, is scheduled to enter Steam Early Access on 12 October 2026. It combines the look and feel of games like Stardew Valley and Witchbrook with a fantasy RPG setting. The game is set in a world ravaged by meteor storms, and players set out as a Frost Hunter to rebuild a shattered village one shard at a time. The game combines familiar tasks like farming and crafting and offers up a way for players to design, build and decorate their own abode, be that a cottage, castle, or cosy villa. Players can also restore old buildings and utilize a vast array of crafting recipes as well. Well worth a look if you’re looking for a build, farm, and crafting experience with a good dose of charm.

The Tidy TeaShop
If putting things back in order is more your thing, then the ‘cosy organising’ game The Tidy TeaShop might be right up your street. Tidy up 2,130 scattered tea boxes inside a tea shop that looks like it's been hit by a gang of ram-raiders, with no time constraints. Visually it gives off a whimsical, cosy look and generally speaking there’s not a lot to complicate the premise. Tidy up games have a particular appeal for players looking to realign a jumbled universe or put things back into a sense of order, and The Tidy TeaShop does just that. The game has controller support and an alternative game mode where you can use spells to help you declutter and tidy up the store. The game is scheduled for a Q4 2026 launch.

Pinbleton Park
Pinbleton Park is one of the more unusual picks in this cosy game selection, carving out its own niche. It is an open-world adventure game but with a pinball influence of sorts. The game’s populated village is full of very cute characters and the whole world turns into one giant pinball table with the help of the spirits who live in the village shrine. The official Steam page mentions helping villagers, rescuing lost spirits and crafting new pinball elements, although it still leaves us curious about how the mechanics will work in practice. Graphically the game looks great and could be one to get more curious about. No fixed release date other than 2026.

Adventures of a Cat in Space
Adventures of a Cat in Space probably deserves its own children’s TV show given its catchy jingle and cosy hand-drawn animated style. Cutesy enough for cat lovers, the game and animation reminded me of the comic strip Simon’s Cat by Simon Tofield.
Gameplay-wise, players will need to solve puzzles and explore the galaxy to unlock songs and find their way back to Earth in a musical point-and-click adventure purrrfect for all ages. No release date as yet but coming soon according to the developer Tall Story Games.

Townseek
Last but certainly not least on our list — and more notably our pick of the bunch — is Townseek, developed by Whales And Games. Townseek stands out with a beautifully whimsical look and feel, all presented in an illustrated ‘doodle style’. Players take to the skies on a voyage across Explora and uncover the lost legacy of Sir Reginald Sharkingston. Players will trade, fish, mine and farm, meeting a unique cast of characters and exploring a variety of vibrant towns along the way. Trading at these towns means you can trade goods for profit, take on quests to build your reputation, and unlock upgrades and cosmetic rewards. The developer describes the game as a cosy, open-ended adventure shaped entirely by you, the player. Steam currently lists the release as coming soon.
