Five indie games with style, identity, and enough promise to deserve a place on your radar
Here at Fix Gaming Channel we like to champion the indies, the unsung heroes of the digital landscape, especially the ones we reckon deserve a little more love and awareness from gamers who may have missed them. We always keep an eye out for indie games to watch, hoping to highlight deserving titles. That is a big part of why pieces like our Steam Next Fest demo roundup and our feature on how Over the Hill built wishlist momentum matter to us. There is always something interesting happening just outside the biggest spotlight.
So we picked out five that deserve to be on your radar. Four are still building towards release, while one has just launched and still earns its place here anyway. From Arthurian myth and a castle on wheels to Dracula-led fortress defence and blood-soaked co-op, this is exactly the kind of variety that keeps the indie scene alive and interesting.

Legends of the Round Table looks like an Arthurian RPG with real care behind it
Legends of the Round Table is first on our list, an intriguing RPG developed by Canadian indie team Artifice Studio. Full of honour, magic, and romance, it gives players the chance to lead the Knights of the Round Table through King Arthur’s legend, but what really stands out is how the art, music, and storytelling seem to have come together in a way that feels authentic rather than decorative.
The hand-painted presentation and animated style bring the whole thing to life like a vivid tapestry. It does not look like just another fantasy RPG borrowing familiar names. It looks like a project with its own flavour, its own rhythm, and a genuine affection for the world it is drawing from. On production values alone, this one deserves more eyes on it.

Wanderburg turns a brilliantly daft idea into something that genuinely looks fun
Wanderburg stood out because it takes a completely unique approach to medieval warfare, and the concept is brilliantly daft while still looking genuinely compelling. Drive your castle on wheels into battle in a minimalist medieval roguelike of roaming fortresses, roll forward, consume everything in your path, and grow stronger as you go. It is absurd, yes, but it is also the kind of absurd idea that only indie games really know how to make work.
What helps is that the game seems to understand exactly what makes the idea fun. Fleeing villages, wandering flocks, and smaller fortresses all feed your growth, and the whole setup feels built around escalation and chaos. The demo has already been making a solid impression, and this looks like the sort of project that could build a very loyal following if it sticks the landing.

ReVamp has one of the easiest pitches on this list to get excited about
ReVamp puts you in the role of Dracula and asks you to rule through a castle-defence roguelite where you shape your fortress room by room, command an army of monsters, and step into battle yourself to protect your throne from relentless mortal invaders. It is one of those ideas that grabs you straight away, and the gothic style gives it even more pull.
The coolest feature is the ability to reconfigure the castle structure between attacks and turn open halls into calculated gauntlets. Each room can alter the flow of battle, forcing invaders into choke points, layered defences, and brutal confrontations. Visually it has a strong dark fantasy appeal, and on concept alone this feels like one that deserves a place on any decent watchlist.

Cursed Blood looks like blood-soaked co-op chaos with serious style
Cursed Blood, developed by David Marquardt Studios, is a brutal 1-4 player co-op melee roguelike where you play as vengeful Samurai Apes fuelled by rage and carve your way through a twisted bloodpunk samurai world. That description alone is enough to make it stand out, but what really sells it is the way it seems to combine speed, aggression, and style into something that feels instantly memorable.
The game looks packed with frenetic action, eye-popping animation, and visual effects that give every clash a bit more bite. What we especially liked is the ability to mix online and local co-op seamlessly, which should make it even easier to enjoy with friends. It is wild, over-the-top, and exactly the sort of indie game that can make a strong impression quickly.

EverSiege: Untold Ages bends the rules here, but still belongs on the list
EverSiege: Untold Ages is a hero-strategy rogue-lite playable solo or in co-op for up to three players, and while it is no longer a pure wishlist game because it has now launched, it still deserves a mention. You do not just survive the siege here, you break it. Build combinations by fusing Wargears with Elemental Essences, summon elite troops, and push back against the Evil Master’s hordes with a build that suits your own approach.
Gameplay looks fast and dynamic, and the amount of room for experimentation is a big part of the appeal. Different Wargears, Essences, troop types, spell evolutions, items, and upgrades all point to a game that wants players to keep adapting and trying new combinations. It is already out now, but in the context of this list, that only makes it the one you can move from watching to playing straight away.

Final thoughts
That is what makes lists like this worth doing. No two of these games are chasing the same lane, but each of them has a clear hook and enough personality to justify the attention. Legends of the Round Table brings atmosphere and a real sense of identity. Wanderburg turns a ridiculous idea into something genuinely appealing. ReVamp has the kind of dark fantasy strategy pitch that sells itself quickly. Cursed Blood looks built for stylish co-op mayhem. And EverSiege: Untold Ages is already ready for players to jump into.
If you are the kind of player who enjoys finding games before the wider crowd catches up, these are exactly the sort worth keeping close. Some need wishlists. One needs players. All of them deserve more attention.
