Messy Recipe A Hidden Object Game featured as Fix Gaming Channel Game of the Week 47

Messy Recipe Lands as Fix Gaming Channel’s GOTW #47

Posted on March 28, 2026April 6, 2026 By Ronny Fiksdahl

DarZal Games’ upcoming hidden-object game brings ingredient hunting, custom recipes, and a shy ghost to Steam on April 9

This week’s Fix Gaming Channel Game of the Week #47 is Messy Recipe: A Hidden Object Game, an upcoming release from DarZal Games with a planned Steam launch set for April 9, 2026. A demo is already available, and the official description centres on searching for ingredients in a cluttered kitchen, customising recipes, and getting to know a shy ghost who hides ingredients every night. If you missed our previous Game of the Week feature, you can also check out Retro Rewind – Video Store Simulator is Fix Gaming Channel’s GOTW #46.

Messy Recipe includes 10 unique recipes and lets players include or omit ingredients while working through a kitchen that changes as they play. Steam lists the game under Casual and Indie, while user tags include Hidden Object, Point & Click, Cooking, and Cozy. If hidden-object games are already on your radar, we also recently covered Whisker Wanderlust: Unwritten Chapter.

Messy Recipe: A Hidden Object Game

Release: April 9, 2026

Genre: Casual, Indie

Developer / Publisher: DarZal Games

Platforms: Windows, macOS, SteamOS + Linux — Steam

Players search for ingredients in a cluttered kitchen that changes as they play, customise each recipe by including or omitting ingredients, and cook through a set of family recipes while getting to know a shy ghost who haunts the kitchen. Steam also lists the game as single-player.

DarZal’s official page adds that the game takes place while the player is house-sitting for a friend, with ingredients being randomly hidden around the room and the kitchen becoming more chaotic or redecorated over time. The feature list on Steam also includes a “No AI used” note.

Why it is our GOTW #47

What puts Messy Recipe on our radar this week is that the official materials make the concept easy to understand right away. There is already a demo available, the store page clearly lays out the core features, and the launch is close enough for players to start keeping an eye on it now.

For anyone who follows smaller indie releases, that is enough to make this one worth watching ahead of launch. Ingredient searching, recipe customisation, and a ghostly kitchen setup give Messy Recipe: A Hidden Object Game a clear identity, which is why it lands as this week’s Game of the Week pick.
