Ripple Island: Kyle and Cal’s Restaurant Brings 16-Player Co-Op Chaos to Switch 2 and PC

Ripple Island: Kyle and Cal’s Restaurant

Ripple Island: Kyle and Cal’s Restaurant is officially out now on Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam for $38.99, bringing SUNSOFT’s 1988 Famicom adventure back as a bright, 3D cooperative cooking game. Classic characters like Cal return as you and your friends race to keep the island’s busiest restaurant running.

The main mode, “Everyone’s Restaurant,” supports up to 16 players online (with up to eight joining from a single console). Teams split into roles such as Kitchen, Hall, Farmer, and Treasure, then juggle fishing, farming, cooking, serving, and cleaning while the timer ticks down. It’s the kind of organised chaos that fans of games like Brass Rain will probably appreciate for very different reasons.

Away from the chaos of a full lobby, there’s also a challenging solo “one-person operation” mode where you handle everything yourself – from growing vegetables and catching fish to cooking dishes and serving guests. Offline, up to four players can share a single console and work through stages together without going online.
