The Run Steam release date set for February 5, 2026 (PC)

The Run Steam release date: a choice-driven fight for survival

The Run Steam release date is set for February 5, 2026, and the full-motion video (FMV) horror-thriller is launching on PC via Steam. It’s built around the kind of pressure choices that don’t wait for you to feel ready — the story moves, the threat moves, and your decisions decide what happens next.

Set along a remote running trail near Lake Garda in Northern Italy, the game follows fitness influencer Zanna Hendricks as a routine run spirals into a desperate chase. Hunted by masked killers, you’re forced into split-second decisions that branch the story in real time — with outcomes that can lead to escape, brutal dead ends, or something in between.

Behind it is FMV creator Paul Raschid, known for projects like The Complex, Five Dates, Ten Dates, The Gallery, and Hello Stranger. The Run has already lived in multiple formats, including earlier mobile releases and an interactive cinema run in London where audiences voted on major decisions live — turning the branching narrative into a shared, real-time event.

What makes The Run interesting is how hard it leans into “interactive cinema” without trying to feel like a standard game loop. You’re not leveling up. You’re not grinding. You’re reacting — choosing how Zanna moves, what risks she takes, and what she believes in when everything is collapsing around her. It’s the kind of structure where replay isn’t a checklist — it’s the only way to see the full shape of the story.

The cast is led by Roxanne McKee and George Blagden, with appearances from Dario Argento and Franco Nero. On the content side, the PC release is positioned as a full feature-length experience with multiple branching routes, distinct endings, and a heavy emphasis on consequence.

Genre: FMV, Horror, Thriller, Interactive cinema

Developer / Publisher: PRM Games

Platforms: PC — Steam

On Steam, The Run is built for replay — and with The Run Steam release date locked for February 5, 2026, it’s one to wishlist if you want the full branching map experience.

Feature-wise, the Steam listing highlights timed and paused choice modes (so you can play under pressure or treat it more like an at-home interactive film), a story map to reveal branching routes, and a high replay ceiling built around different deaths and endings.
