Saddle Up for Adventure Wild Indigo Ranch Now Open in Early Access on Steam

Posted on September 20, 2024May 2, 2026 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Howdy, adventurers! “Wild Indigo Ranch” has officially opened its gates in Early Access on Steam, giving players a front-row seat to life on the untamed frontier. Developed by the talented team at Funday Games, this action-adventure indie title combines frontier management, exploration, and decision-making in a Wild West world where every choice matters.

Your New Life on the Frontier

After inheriting Wild Indigo Ranch from your late uncle, you soon realize the West holds more than open fields and sunsets. The ruthless Grit Corp plans to industrialize the prairie and strip it of its beauty. It’s up to you—and the loyal townsfolk of Tumbleville—to protect the land and preserve the spirit of the frontier.

Gameplay Highlights

  • Rebuild and Manage: Restore your ranch, expand your homestead, and balance resources to thrive in the wilderness.
  • Dynamic Decisions: Every choice you make shapes relationships and determines the fate of the West.
  • Defend the Prairie: Face off against Grit Corp’s mercenaries in fast-paced skirmishes that test your grit and strategy.
  • Forge Alliances: Partner with Tumbleville locals, upgrade your ranch, and create a network of allies who stand by your side.

Early Access Insights

Players who join Early Access will play a vital role in shaping Wild Indigo Ranch before its full release in September 2025. The developers are encouraging feedback to refine mechanics, enhance combat balance, and expand the storylines that define this rugged world. As Funday Games put it, “We want players to leave their bootprints on every part of the ranch before we call it complete.”

A Wild West Worth Protecting

Whether you ride solo or join up with friends, Wild Indigo Ranch offers a heartfelt blend of adventure, strategy, and discovery. Grab your hat, saddle your horse, and make your mark in a story that’s as much about rebuilding community as it is about reclaiming freedom.

Love indie adventures? Don’t miss Sporeborn: Dark, a haunting sci-fi journey releasing this September 19th!
