Official crossover image showing Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves logo alongside CR7 with electric blue lightning

What the Hell Is Cristiano Ronaldo Doing in Fatal Fury?

Posted on July 18, 2025July 22, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Cristiano Ronaldo Fatal Fury Crossover — Yes, It’s Real and It’s 2025

Cristiano Ronaldo is in Fatal Fury. That’s not clickbait — it’s an actual update. Somehow, in 2025, one of the most famous footballers in the world is throwing kicks in South Town alongside Terry Bogard.

I’ve been managing football squads since the original Football Manager on the C64. If you want a blast from the past, check out my full retrospective on the 1982 Football Manager game — it’s where this whole obsession started.

These guys are football royalty. They don’t just show up on your roster. But apparently now… they show up in Fatal Fury.

The July 15 update added solo story content for Cristiano Ronaldo — full Arcade and EOST missions where he inspires kids, trains like a champion, and somehow blends into the madness of South Town.

The update is already live — it was released on July 15, and yes, it’s playable now.

Somewhere between Terry Bogard power dunking someone through concrete and Ken Masters setting his fists on fire… there’s CR7 doing bicycle kicks with his own original theme song.

Composed by DJ Alok.
Titled “Fury (Siuuu).”
You can’t make this stuff up.

Not a Fanboy, Just Observing

I’m sure it’s out there somewhere in the ether what teams I like, who I’ve backed, and who I’ve roasted. I won’t get into that.

I want to. But I’m not a fanboy anymore. I like this and that — like everyone else. We’ve all got favorites. Whatever suits your style and personality? Go for it.

But I’ll say this with full confidence: If you’re a diehard Messi fan, you’re not touching this game.

But, Hey, It’s 2025

We live in a timeline where fighting games feature horror villains, anime swordsmen, and fast-food mascots. So sure — Cristiano Ronaldo punching people in the face? It’s not even that high on the weird list anymore.

But it’s not the punches — it’s the kicks.
And you know he favors those. The form, the style, the flair — it honestly fits. If Fatal Fury gave him a bicycle kick special that ended with a slow-mo “Siuuu!” pose and fireworks? I wouldn’t blink.

I’m sure it’s great fun — but is it to sell, or to have fun? I don’t know.
Maybe both. Maybe neither. Maybe that’s just where we’re at now.

But yeah. Still weird.

At least it’s not AI… or is it? It’s about as close to fiction as you can get without needing a disclaimer.
