Go-Go Town! Sells Over 100,000 Copies in One Month

Posted on August 19, 2026 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Prideful Sloth celebrates the milestone with new decorations, additional languages, and more post-launch content

Go-Go Town! has sold more than 100,000 copies in the month since its July 16 launch, with developer Prideful Sloth announcing additional content as a thank-you to players.

According to Prideful Sloth, the chaotic city builder also topped the Steam New Releases chart and reached the #1 and #2 positions across Nintendo Switch sales charts in Japan, the UK, and the US.

The milestone comes just over a month after Go-Go Town! left Early Access and launched its 1.0 version on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.

More content is coming after the 100,000-sales milestone

Alongside the post-launch content already outlined in the game’s roadmap, Prideful Sloth has announced another collection of Industrial and Rustic decoration assets.

The additional items will include new arches, barriers, lamp posts, a new Vehicle Stall, a Gas Pump, Hay Bales, and more options for players to use when building and customizing their towns.

Go-Go Town! is also expanding its language support with Polish, Turkish, Russian, Italian, Dutch, and Indonesian set to be added.

Prideful Sloth thanks its Early Access community

Creative Director Cheryl Vance credited the game’s community with helping shape Go-Go Town! during its two years in Early Access before the 1.0 release.

“Seeing our game succeed at a time when the industry is going through such a challenging period makes us feel incredibly grateful. We’re very aware of how fortunate we are to be in this position. With the support of our amazing Early Access community, who spent two years with us making Go-Go Town! the game that it is, we were able to successfully launch V1.0 on PC and on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 and welcome in a new cohort of Mayors who are experiencing what we built with our community, for the first time,” Vance said.

Thailand becomes the game’s second-biggest market

Prideful Sloth also highlighted growth in markets where the studio has not traditionally reached as many players, with Thailand now becoming the game’s second-biggest market.

“It’s also been wonderful to see audiences we haven’t traditionally reached in such numbers really embracing the game, with Thailand now our second biggest market! That kind of support, and the success it has brought, means we can keep working on Go-Go Town! while remaining independent and looking ahead to what we might create next,” Vance said.

Go-Go Town! puts players in charge of building and managing their own town, covering businesses, homes, workers, infrastructure, logistics, customization, and automation. It can be played solo or in co-op.
