John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando gets a new gameplay overview trailer

Four-player co-op carnage, vehicles, and Swarm Engine hordes — March 12, 2026

Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment have released a new gameplay overview trailer for John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, confirming its release date as March 12, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

If you’ve been following Focus’ recent run, we’ve also covered Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 being announced — and for more squad-based action on the horizon, here’s another one: Alpha Response (co-op shooter).

John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando

Release: March 12, 2026

Genre: Co-op FPS, Action-Horror

Developer / Publisher: Saber Interactive, Focus Entertainment

Platforms: Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store

What the new overview highlights

The overview leans hard into what this game wants to be: a loud, ’80s-flavoured squad shooter where you roll into missions as a crew of mercenaries, jump between on-foot firefights and vehicle pushes, and try to keep control when the horde starts collapsing in from every direction.

On the official store listings, Toxic Commando is framed around four-player online co-op and cross-platform play, with missions set across semi-open environments where vehicles aren’t just transport — they’re part of how you survive and clear objectives.

Editions and pre-order bonus

The game is currently available for pre-purchase on Steam, including a Standard Edition and a Blood Edition. Steam also lists a pre-order bonus DLC called Leon’s Secret Stash.
