Even losing the fight cannot stop the flying chickens
After seven years of development, Claymatic Games has announced its slapstick brawler with a song, sock puppets, and the promise of some very unfortunate farm animals.
Fish to the face, flying chickens, and knocked-out players who can still cause trouble: Knuckle Creek promises chaotic multiplayer fights. On October 13, Claymatic Games announced a planned October 29, 2026 launch on Steam after seven years of development.
Its countryside fights have a handmade clay look, but the announcement is the real spectacle. Our look at upcoming co-op games includes handcrafted stop-motion characters; this team’s reveal pairs eight-player brawling with the developers singing about it.

Seven years of development. Now, sock puppets.
It would have been easy to announce the release date with a logo and a dramatic voice-over. Instead, the team went with a singalong. Claymatic says lead game designer Anthony Flack wrote and performed the launch-date song, while its developer-led Reddit announcement prompted repeated questions about the puppets. The team’s explanation was wonderfully low-tech: they used their own socks.
The reaction is suitably strange: comparisons with older games, more chatter about the song than the combat, and the studio joking about its sock budget. The team seems happy with the absurdity.
Your friends can still ruin your victory after they lose
Knuckle Creek supports up to eight players locally or online in Last Player Standing or team battles. You can adjust weapons, health, maps, and rules, with bots filling empty slots.

Weapons include fish, cans of beans, chickens, pigs, and anvils. Even eliminated players can drop items or traps into the arena. Victory is not safe either: there is a playable podium where someone can steal your trophy.

Our 2026 co-op recommendations offer friendlier ways to spend an evening together. Here, friendship comes with flying poultry and a high chance of arguments.
Real clay, scanned models, and a lot of strange faces
The art is not simply a shader placed over ordinary characters. In the October 13 announcement, Claymatic described a mixture of traditional clay animation, scanned clay models, and 3D work. Flack, who previously worked in stop-motion animation, brought that experience to Platypus Reclayed and now this larger project.
The result includes fighters with exaggerated noses, unusual hairstyles, hats, jackets, and costumes. The team says there are hundreds of cosmetic items, more than a dozen voices, and emotes that can be used mid-battle. Flack also says he recorded thousands of voice samples for the cast. Those are developer-reported production details, not findings from a Fix Gaming Channel play session.

There is a solo game underneath the chaos
Players who do not have seven friends ready for a clay fight can take on more than 48 handcrafted solo challenges. The studio lists friend leaderboards, timed challenges, and cosmetic unlocks, with random and endless challenges also planned. Completing stages lets players expand the wardrobe they can take into multiplayer matches.
The game is not out yet. Its Steam listing targets October 29, 2026 for Windows. Claymatic lists planned launch prices of $5.99, £4.79, and €5.79; final pricing remains subject to release.
After seven years, there is something charming about a team choosing to announce its big moment with a homemade song and sock puppets. Whether the brawling holds up will have to wait for release. For now, throwing a live chicken at your friends is a memorable sales pitch.
