RoboCop stands ready with gun drawn in front of OmniTower, surrounded by fire, drones, and enemy lasers in the Unfinished Business DLC key art.

RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business Is Crashing for Many Players

New DLC hits with bugs — fatal crashes, bomb blockers, and broken weapons plague OmniTower’s return

July 22, 2025 – The long-awaited Unfinished Business DLC for RoboCop: Rogue City may have landed with a bang, but for many players, it’s turned into a frustrating crash-fest instead of a triumphant return to Detroit’s crime-ridden streets.

If you missed the original game or need a refresher, check out our full RoboCop: Rogue City (2023) review to see how the base game delivered on its gritty, futuristic promise before diving into this DLC update.

Crashes, Bugs, and Unfinished Stability

Following the DLC’s release, developer Teyon acknowledged several major issues in an official update post, including:

  • Fatal crash errors affecting progression or game startup
  • Bomb defusal mission blockers halting progress during key objectives
  • Weapon swapping glitches — reports of unresponsive or incorrect switching
  • Optimization issues — including frame drops, stutters, and other performance hiccups

While players expected an explosive return to the iconic OmniTower, many are instead stuck rewatching the opening cutscene — again and again — as the game crashes before they can make any meaningful progress.

Community Frustration Mounts

Across forums, social media, and even in our own testing, users are consistently reporting game-breaking crashes right after the intro sequence. The official Steam event post confirms that the developers are actively investigating the problems, but no timeline for a fix has been provided.

Some have attempted workarounds — such as running in windowed mode, disabling overlays, or lowering graphical settings — but results have been inconsistent at best.

Should You Play It Now?

If you’re among the unlucky players caught in this crash loop, the best advice is: wait for the patch. The core game remains stable, but Unfinished Business clearly needs more polish before it can deliver the cinematic RoboCop experience fans were hoping for.

We’ll wait until the crashes are fixed before recording any gameplay footage for our YouTube channel.
