Sengoku Dynasty 1.0 Launches with Major New Features

Oberhaching, Germany – November 7, 2024 – Superkami and Toplitz Productions have officially released version 1.0 of their acclaimed title, Sengoku Dynasty, marking the game’s exit from Steam Early Access. This milestone update introduces major new features—including the Daimyo system, an enhanced combat overhaul, a full character editor, and the long-awaited female player character option—inviting players deeper into the heart of feudal Japan.

From Early Access to Full Release

Initially launched in Early Access, Sengoku Dynasty has steadily evolved through numerous content updates, each guided by player feedback and the studio’s vision for authenticity. The full release delivers a rich open-world experience that blends village building, life simulation, and survival elements, all playable solo or cooperatively with up to three friends.

A New Way to Conquer

Version 1.0 introduces a reimagined approach to territory control. Players can expand their domains through either strategic diplomacy or direct combat, unlocking new technologies and resources in the process. This flexible system lets every player forge their own path—whether as a benevolent ruler or a fearsome warlord.

Customization and Character Creation

The new character editor lets players personalize every aspect of their journey. With the introduction of a female protagonist, players now enjoy greater representation and connection to their story as they rise from humble beginnings to become a legendary leader in 16th-century Japan.

Building a Legacy in Feudal Japan

Resource management remains at the core of the experience. Players must gather bamboo, ore, stone, and wood to build thriving settlements, craft weapons, and defend their people from bandit raids. The game’s deep village-management system celebrates Japanese craftsmanship, agriculture, and community, making every construction a story of progress and survival.

Authenticity and World-Building

To deliver a world true to its history, Superkami employed extensive research into 16th-century Japanese culture—from architecture and fabrics to traditional tools and rituals. This dedication to realism immerses players in a living, breathing world that reflects both the elegance and brutality of the Sengoku era.

Looking Toward the Future

“We are grateful for Sengoku Dynasty’s time in Early Access and for the feedback from our community,” said Jan Cieslar, CEO of Superkami. “You’ve helped shape the game into what it is today. There’s still much to come in 2025—including console ports that will bring Sengoku Dynasty to new audiences.”
