Settlements Rising - Medieval Colony Simulation Game Launching October 3, 2024

New Medieval Colony Sim Settlements Rising Set to Launch This October 3

Posted on August 26, 2024October 29, 2025 By Ronny Fiksdahl

Prepare to dive into the intricate world of medieval strategy as Settlements Rising makes its debut on October 3, 2024. Developed and published by The Catalyst Crew, this upcoming city-building simulation promises players a richly detailed medieval experience that blends deep micromanagement with immersive world-building.

Game Overview

In Settlements Rising, players take charge of a humble village struggling to survive and thrive in a turbulent medieval world. Every decision—from resource allocation to trade deals—shapes the destiny of your colony. The game strikes a balance between strategy, simulation, and storytelling, allowing players to witness their settlers live dynamic lives that evolve over time.

Building a Thriving Medieval Colony

Your goal is to transform a modest settlement into a bustling, self-sustaining stronghold. To do so, you’ll manage villagers’ needs, construct vital infrastructure, and defend against external threats. The result is an ever-changing colony that feels alive with purpose and risk.

  • Professions and Villager Dynamics: Over 35 unique professions, each with handcrafted animations and daily work cycles. Villagers are born, educated, grow old, and experience hunger, fatigue, health, and warmth—every need matters.
  • Economic and Resource Management: Earn gold through mining, trading, and raiding. Use trading ships and dynamic markets to boost your economy while reacting to shifting prices.
  • Defensive Strategies and Military: Protect your people by building watchtowers and training your villagers as soldiers. The larger your village, the greater the threat from raiders and rival factions.
  • Enhancement Cards: Unlock random enhancement cards to gain bonuses for your settlement. Cards can be saved for future playthroughs, letting you craft long-term strategies that evolve with your colony.
