A Journey Through Indie Creativity
Archor Wright had already released a large number of low-cost indie games by mid-2024. Here are five that stood out to me.

1. Crash Test Idiots 2
Crash Test Idiots 2 is a physics-based action game built around crash test dummies, chaotic situations, and completing objectives while causing as much destruction as possible.
The soundtrack was also personal for me: music by Ronny Fiksdahl / Fix Gaming Channel and Go Postal was used in the game, including “Different Kind of Game” and “Too Late” from Golden Rats.
Developer Insights: Archor Wright shared, “I wanted to take the concept of crash test dummies and push the boundaries of what players expect from a physics-based game. The goal was to create a fun and chaotic experience that also offers a lot of replayability.”
2. Multiplayer Cavemen
Multiplayer Cavemen is a fast-paced survival RPG where players try to survive in a village overrun by dinosaurs. The game includes both single-player and multiplayer options, including co-op and PvP.
3. Multiplayer Cowboys
Multiplayer Cowboys moves the same low-cost multiplayer idea into a Wild West town overrun by ghosts. Players can tackle the setting alone or with others.
4. Multiplayer Turtles
In Multiplayer Turtles, players fight evil frogs attacking the Turtle Temple in a fast-paced hack-and-slash action game with single-player and multiplayer modes.
5. Remission
Remission takes place in a world where a radioactive accident has transformed cancer cells into human-like mutants. Players help Dr. Rose search for a cure and save the city.
Final Thoughts
At the time, one of the most striking things about Archor Wright’s catalog was the price. Many of the games cost less than a dollar, making them easy curiosities for players interested in unusual, rough-edged indie experiments across action, survival, and multiplayer genres.
