BlackMill Games Takes the WW1 Game Series to the Ottoman Fronts
Developer and publisher BlackMill Games is bringing the brutal reality of World War I combat back to players this month. Gallipoli, the fourth entry in the WW1 Game Series after Verdun, Tannenberg, and Isonzo, is set to launch on May 21, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Gallipoli moves the series away from mainland Europe and onto the Ottoman Fronts of World War I, focusing on beach landings, desert warfare, trench fighting, and historically grounded squad-based combat. Inspired by the 1915 Gallipoli campaign, the game places players in battles between the British Empire and the Ottoman Empire, with authentic weapons, uniforms, equipment, and battlefields shaped around the wider Middle Eastern Front.
For readers following tactical shooters on Fix Gaming Channel, Gallipoli sits closer to our coverage of Squad 44’s Reign of Steel update and Alpha Response from Counter-Strike co-creator Minh Le than a fast arcade FPS, with a stronger focus on battlefield roles, positioning, and team-based pressure.

Gallipoli is a tactical, squad-based multiplayer FPS built around PvP combat and shifting frontlines. Its signature mode supports up to 50 players and focuses on momentum, with attackers trying to complete objectives quickly while defenders attempt to hold their positions long enough to drain the enemy advance.
Players can choose from several battlefield roles, including Officer, Rifleman, Engineer, Light Machine Gunner, and Stretcher Bearer. Each role is designed around squad support and battlefield purpose, whether that means leading the attack, building fortifications, laying down suppressive fire, or keeping the squad in the fight.

Gallipoli features beach landings, trench combat, and tactical multiplayer battles across the Ottoman Fronts.
The game aims to deliver a grounded take on World War I combat, with methodical weapon handling, historically inspired equipment, realistic uniforms, and battlefields based on campaigns across the Ottoman Fronts. Players can expect beach landings, desert approaches, dugouts, trench lines, and urban combat across locations tied to the Gallipoli and Mesopotamia campaigns.

BlackMill Games brings the WW1 Game Series to the Ottoman Fronts with historically grounded weapons, uniforms, and squad-based combat.
BlackMill Games has built its reputation on historically focused WWI shooters, and Gallipoli continues that direction by moving the series into a theatre of war that has not been explored as often in modern multiplayer shooters. Fans of Battlefield 1 may recognize the broader historical setting from its Gallipoli-inspired single-player and multiplayer content, but BlackMill’s approach leans more heavily into tactical squads, slower combat pressure, and authenticity over spectacle.
With crossplay listed across PC and consoles, AI bots available in public matches, and up to 50-player battles, Gallipoli looks set to continue the WW1 Game Series’ focus on large-scale historical combat when it launches on May 21.
