Above Snakes console release: date, price & platforms

Release: September 4, 2025

Genre: Isometric world-builder, adventure RPG, light survival

Developer / Publisher: Square Glade Games / RedDeer.Games

Platforms: Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store

Aiyana’s story in a land between worlds

Set against frontier myths of the American West, you play as Aiyana—“a child of two worlds.” The journey blends personal lore with exploration and gentle survival, told through a female perspective that’s uncommon in the genre.

Build the world—tile by tile—then thrive in it

Defending an invaded ranch near a red farmhouse in Above Snakes

Above Snakes lets you literally assemble the map piece by piece, mixing biomes to uncover resources, secrets, and threats. Craft tools and structures, farm, fish, and hunt, and stand your ground against the undead “Lost Souls.” It’s a relaxed pace by design—part builder, part cozy survival—with the freedom to wander and create at your own rhythm. The tile system also means every new chunk can hide points of interest, rare resources, or ambushes that reshape your route.
