CD PROJEKT RED Adds Path Tracing, Reworked Combat and Cross-Platform Mods
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered is available now as a free upgrade for existing owners, bringing visual, performance and gameplay changes to the 2015 RPG.
The release lands ahead of the game’s next major chapter. Fix Gaming Channel recently covered the upcoming Songs of the Past expansion, which is scheduled for 2027.

A Free Upgrade Across PC and Current-Generation Consoles
According to CD PROJEKT RED, the Remastered version is a free upgrade for current owners on GOG, Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players who own the original Nintendo Switch version can also upgrade to the native Nintendo Switch 2 release.
It is also available through Battle.net and the Microsoft Store with Xbox Play Anywhere support, and includes Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine.
Path Tracing, PS5 Pro Support and Reworked Combat
The update improves textures, lighting, foliage and ray tracing, with path tracing on PC and PSSR support on PlayStation 5 Pro. Combat, animations, traversal, the skill tree and UI have also been reworked, while Mod.io adds cross-platform mod support.
Switch 2 Gets Native Features
The native Nintendo Switch 2 version adds motion controls, gyro aiming, mouse controls and touchscreen support for actions including aiming, signs, bombs, map navigation and Gwent. The Remastered release was developed with Yigsoft.
