Big Walk sold one million copies in six days while launching on PlayStation Plus
Big Walk is House House’s new co-op walker-talker, and more than one million people bought it in its first six days.
Big Walk launched on August 4, 2026. Six days later, publisher Panic announced that more than one million people had bought the game.
The PS5 version launched at the same time as part of Sony’s August PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup. If you want more games built around playing together, our 15 Best Co-op Games to Play in 2026 has more options across PC and console.

One million purchases in six days
Panic announced the milestone on August 10. Sony had also made the PS5 version available to PlayStation Plus members from August 4 through August 31 as one of the month’s included games.
Steam currently lists Big Walk as Overwhelmingly Positive, with 96% of English-language user reviews rated positive. We have also covered the latest Big Walk update and its Steam response.
Talking is part of the game
Big Walk is a cooperative multiplayer adventure about teamwork and communication. Players move through a wide-open world together, solving puzzles, finding routes, and trying to stay in contact when the group gets separated.

Its proximity voice system makes voices fade across distance, echo through corridors, muffle through walls, and crackle through walkie-talkies. Players can also point, wave, gesture, and use tools including laser pointers, binoculars, megaphones, and flares.
Two to twelve players, with crossplay
House House says Big Walk can be played with as few as two players or as many as 12, with crossplay across supported platforms. If playing across different systems is the priority, our best crossplay games for mobile, console, and PC has more options.

The game also has an ending. House House describes it as a handcrafted cooperative adventure meant to be played from start to finish with a group of friends, even if there is room to stop and mess around along the way.
A very different follow-up to Untitled Goose Game
House House is the Melbourne studio behind Push Me Pull You and Untitled Goose Game. Instead of making another goose game, the team followed it with a multiplayer adventure built around walking and talking with friends.
That simple idea puts Big Walk in a different corner of co-op gaming from something like the climbing chaos we found in our PEAK review. One million purchases in six days gives House House’s new game a strong start, while its Steam reception shows the idea is still landing well after launch.
