Ammossum
When we first covered Ammossum back in May 2025 the game was lining up for an August 2025 release but is now launching at the end of this month, over a year later.
Ammossum is now approaching its delayed 2026 launch. Ammossum / West Glade
Built in Unity and powered by imagination, Ammossum blends high-speed roguelike action with absurd weapon upgrades and stylized visuals. Every run unlocks new projectiles and combinations, letting you fuse acid waves, explosive chains, and other destructive effects into a personalized arsenal.
The game’s demo underwent lots of updates and developer West Glade has put the game through several rounds of improvements after running numerous playtests and an appearance in Febuary’s Steam Next Fest. Improvements to the game include new weapons, items, railcars, characters, enemies, bosses, biomes, a new quest system and much more.

Slender Reborn
Unofficial remake of Slender – The Eight Pages, developed by Jeff Winner Games Slender Reborn previously announced in Jan 2025 it would be available on Steam but was then taken down and removed from the platform in Feb 2025. The game was taken down on Steam by Blue Island Studio, who claimed that two of the game’s pages were too similar to their own. Available only through itch.io,it seems the road to development has been a very challenging one. Developer Jeff Winner has developed three other horror games including Horror Story: Hallowseed, Evil Trap and Death Omen.
Slender Reborn puts players back into the dark forest to search for eight pages while avoiding Slender Man.

Permafrost
After some considerable delays, it appears that Permafrost is finally launching on Oct 9th having been pushed back from Aug 21st. Toplitz Productions isn’t known for its launch punctuality, with many of its titles suffering from lack of decisive direction or undergoing alterations to direction that have little or no impact to the products quality (Serums name change anyone?). Additionally, why it decided to change the core visual artwork that established the IP for so long just two months before its proposed launch is a mystery, this has since been quickly corrected back to the original artwork after concerns and negative feedback from the community.
Permafrost is approaching its October 2026 Early Access launch. Permafrost / SpaceRocket Games
It’s not that Permafrost is a bad product, far from it, its production cycle has added more content and it’s got a great producer behind it and a talented dev team. Subsequent playtest feedback has really helped shape the game and prioritize its path to early access too, however, it’s yet another Toplitz product where marketing appears to be leading development choices that the player community didn’t ask for.
We have high hopes that this won’t be frozen solid when it launches in Oct.
No Alibi
We previously covered No Alibi in our December 2024 Indie roundup of games to look out for in 2025. Unfortunately there’s still no release date set for the game which has a top down perspective that gives it the blended pixellated visual vibe of the original GTA mixed with the bloody chaotic action of Hotline Miami. In the game you Rob banks, collect bounties, and gamble it all away. Up to 4 players can work together to lead their criminal empire to success and players can use customized guns and equipment to take hostages and steal everything you can lay their hands on.
No Alibi still has no confirmed release date. No Alibi / NECMAS Studios
There are no development updates on Steam so it’s not known why the game is delayed or what the developer is prioritizing in terms of production.

Ertugrul of Ulukayin
Ertugrul of Ulukayin is a Third persian action adventure game set in a war-torn medieval frontier, we previously covered back in December 2024. Developed by Turkish video game development company Tekden Studio based in Istanbul, it was founded by the production company behind the historical television series Resurrection: Ertuğrul. In April the game announced a major update that fixed issues across graphics, features and gameplay just prior to its June 2025 early access launch, currently the game sits at a ‘very positive’ rating on Steam with almost 450 reviews .
Ertugrul of Ulukayin takes players across a medieval Anatolian world on horseback. Ertugrul of Ulukayin / Tekden Studio
In Oct 2025 the studio revealed it was an official Xbox partner and PlayStation partner, the biggest hint yet that the game would be coming to console. Check out the games Early Access trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QM9l84e7ebM
Astrobotanica
When we first covered Astrobotanica the game had just announced hitting its kickstarter goal in just 6 days which showed huge promise for the game.
ASTROBOTANICA entered Early Access after a successful Kickstarter campaign. ASTROBOTANICA / Space Goblin Studio
Astrobotanica is a science-driven exploration adventure set on prehistoric Earth, in terms of its gameplay its similar to No Man’s Sky in that players are required to scan unfamiliar plants, gather rare ingredients, and combine their properties to create tonics that restore health, energy, and CO₂. Additionally, players learn how different species interact, discover powerful botanical aspects, and develop new ways to adapt to Earth’s dangerous atmosphere.
Unfortunately the game launched to mixed reviews on steam, with many players stating that since the demo the game has become confusing and has a steep learning curve and punishing gameplay that many players feel has removed the fun aspect of the concept of the game. In May of this year Developer Space Goblin Studio revealed a major update to the game that reworked some of the complaints, or at least looked to address community concerns. The developer announced improvements across a variety of aspects including resources, map and HUD, plant aspects and habitats and a whole lot more, the jury is still out if these fixes have worked though. The Perilous North
While there aren’t too many updates from the husband and wife duo behind The Perilous North there certainly isn’t a lack of detail when they do reveal the latest work going into the project. We first covered The Perilous North in April 2025 an arctic survival strategy game set in the 19th century where you are tasked to uncover the fate of a lost expedition. What really stood out for us here at Fix Gaming was the Lovecraftian influences and impressive depth and progression the game had as you lead your crew through brutal cold, creeping madness, and cosmic horror.
The Perilous North continues to reveal detailed development work and playtest material. The Perilous North / SUBMERSION
The last major update in April highlighted that there would soon be a closed playtest for players interested in providing feedback on the game. The team create some very engaging insights and information about the game, including video diaries on the inspiration and design ethos behind the project.
The is definitely one of the more interesting survival games in development, the 19th century setting and ‘steam punk’ influences, as well as the horror aspects give this game a suitably dark and edgy premise for gamers to explore when it eventually launches.
